Here are a few brief background questions and basic information on how you can get involved in college ministry:

What is MPD?

MPD stands for Ministry Partner Development.  When anyone anywhere works full time vocationally as a minister, he or she is just one part of a huge effort.  At churches ministers are usually supported by tithes that are paid by the congregation.  Since college students are typically very short on cash and without jobs, they typically can't support those ministering to them.  There is an intense war for the minds of our college students going on at campus around the nation and world, and if we are to make a deliberate effort to reach out to them on their level, at their campuses, and getting into their lives, the support has to come from elsewhere.  Churches, other organizations, and other believers are generally those that step in to help financially support ministers in Crusade or other such collegiate ministries.

God has placed a call on my heart to minister to the fertile young minds of the future leaders in our nation.  This is just one small part of a team I am trusting God to raise up alongside with me.

Where does support go?

Support goes directly to Campus Crusade for Christ, and they take care of all the business expenses of having me as an employee.  I then am cut monthly checks to cover ministry and living expenses.  All support is tax deductible.

Is this Biblical?

This is completely Biblical as throughout the course of history God has called some of His followers to be full-time spiritual leaders and others of them to provide for those people.  Ultimately what matters is simply being faithful in fulfilling the role God has given to us all.

I would like to do anything I can to repay donors for their kindness and faithfulness, but I know the most important thing is that college students are being reached with the love and words of God.  That is by far my top priority- that I fulfill the role to which I have been called.  What I can promise you is that I will keep this website up-to-date so you can see what is going on at all times, and I will also send out a monthly prayer letter.  If I have the time, especially in the summer, I would be happy to do business consulting for you, putting my MBA to good use, or swimming lessons for you or your children (I have 7 years of experience).  I will also try to meet with supporters just about every chance I get to keep you personally informed of what's going on.

How can I help?

Prayer is the foundation of this ministry, and prayer is ALWAYS needed.  For those that are financially able, please pray about the possibility of becoming part of this team through financial support.  For those that are not financially able to help, but know people that are, please feel free to recommend the site to them or get me in touch with them.

The following are my current financial needs:

  • All one-time expenses have been raised

  • $2,317 (out of $2,400) in monthly support

  • I have approximately 10% of the money needed by September 1

Please consider sponsoring one or more of the following block segments.  After a block is sponsored, I will change its color to beige, that way the support raising process may be easily monitored.

$100 $100 $100 $100 $100
